I wrote and recorded this project in my house in Colorado. I had many slow days of contemplation to brew these tunes into their frenzied selves. It's my best work to date. First self-produced project. Todd Fadel of Agents of Future calls it an "acoustica-electronica-operatic-spokes-troubadour-for-the-mangled-masses that digs deep with a collection of newly-dusted relational relics of primal pomp.”

We wrote the songs for this in the fall of 2007, collaborating, ripping each other's songs apart in a 'have no pride' atmosphere and the result is really cool and eclectic. Features folkies from Canada - Jacob and Lilly (Karla Adolphe and Caleb Friesen), the bluegrass leaning Black Thorn Project (Tim and Laurie Thornton), the EWC masters, Ben and Robin Pasley, and me bringing my "neo-raspy, old-soul voice" and "alt tunings" (according to Relevant).

I wrote over 40 songs out of the Psalms in a year for this project. We immediately cut that number in half for the recording, then released 16 of the recorded songs. This project really tracks some of my best growth in song-writing, and has been soooo well received all over the place despite (or because of) it's simplicity and starkness. This is the album that has matured me as a solo performer in the last 2 yrs of solid touring.

I toured full time with The Restoration Project from May 2002 until March 2006. The music is less worship and more personal song-writing meets cathartic angst dissemination. But it's pretty too. At least that's what people have told me. I played primarily electric guitar on the album and wrote half the songs.
